Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Yolo or Bust ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our") at yolobust.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Yolo or Bust, operated by Yolo or Bust ("Operator").
2. Description of Service
Yolo or Bust is an educational finance platform providing access to a Pro earnings calendar, AI-generated company research reports, post-earnings analysis, the Operator's personal investment positions, public Wealth Guide materials, manual Wealth Tools calculators, and an optional My Wealth Path dashboard for self-reported budgeting, debt, emergency fund, retirement, index fund, and high-risk bucket planning. The Service may also include account settings, support tools, gift memberships, referral tracking, newsletters, and data export or deletion controls. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Earnings, archive, newsletter, and Positions content is general-audience publisher commentary, not advice based on any user's account, portfolio, risk tolerance, tax situation, time horizon, or personal circumstances.
3. NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE - IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
THE CONTENT PROVIDED ON YOLO OR BUST, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EARNINGS CALENDARS, RESEARCH REPORTS, COMPANY ANALYSIS, INVESTMENT POSITIONS, COMMENTARY, WEALTH PATH DASHBOARDS, CALCULATORS, BUDGET TEMPLATES, TAX ESTIMATES, DEBT PAYOFF ESTIMATES, RETIREMENT ESTIMATES, AND ALL OTHER MATERIALS, IS FOR INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, TAX, LEGAL, ACCOUNTING, MORTGAGE, OR RETIREMENT ADVICE. Yolo or Bust is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, tax advisor, attorney, accountant, financial planner, or any other type of licensed financial professional. Nothing on this platform should be construed as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, cryptocurrency, ETF, or other financial instrument.
You acknowledge and agree that: (a) all investment decisions are made solely at your own risk; (b) past performance is not indicative of future results; (c) you may lose some or all of your invested capital; (d) the Operator's personal positions disclosed on the platform are his own, are not a model portfolio, and are not recommendations for you to buy, sell, hold, trade, or take the same positions; (e) calculators and Wealth Path outputs are rough estimates based on manual inputs and changing laws; (f) you will conduct your own independent research and consult with qualified professionals before making investment, tax, legal, mortgage, or retirement decisions.
The current manual product does not request bank logins, brokerage logins, account numbers, Social Security numbers, employer payroll access, or exact account access. Connected accounts are not live in the current product. If optional read-only account linking is offered later, it must be clearly disclosed, consent-based, and revocable. Manual entry works forever, and imported values can suggest updates but will not silently overwrite numbers you entered. If a page, email, or third party asks for sensitive credentials while claiming to be Yolo or Bust, do not provide them and contact us.
Wealth Tools are not tax filing software, mortgage underwriting software, retirement planning advice, or a substitute for professional review. Tax brackets, California rules, federal rules, contribution limits, interest rates, insurance costs, and market assumptions can change. You are responsible for verifying numbers before relying on them.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Service is not available to residents of jurisdictions where access to financial information platforms is prohibited by law.
5. User Accounts
5.1 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
5.2 You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
5.3 You agree to notify us immediately at yoloorbust@gmail.com of any unauthorized use of your account.
5.4 We reserve the right to terminate accounts, remove content, or cancel subscriptions at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the Service.
5.5 Account includes self-service newsletter preferences, data export, and account deletion controls where available. Full account deletion may require you to cancel an active Stripe subscription first. Deletion is subject to the retention limits described in our Privacy Policy, including payment, security, tax, processor, and scrubbed gift-history records that may need to remain.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
6.1 Yolo or Bust offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier. The Pro tier is billed at the price and billing interval displayed at the time of purchase, including monthly pricing when monthly pricing is shown in the checkout flow.
6.2 All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card information on our servers.
6.3 Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You can manage renewal, payment method, and cancellation through the Account billing portal when available, or by contacting support if the portal is not available.
6.4 Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact us at yoloorbust@gmail.com within 30 days of your purchase. We reserve the right to deny refund requests at our sole discretion.
6.5 We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice of any price changes to existing subscribers via email.
6.6 If your payment fails, we reserve the right to downgrade your account to the free tier until payment is resolved.
6.7 Gift memberships, when offered, are processed through Stripe and attach to the recipient email entered at checkout or claim. Claim links and claim tokens are sensitive. We may refuse or reverse claims that appear fraudulent, misdirected, abusive, or inconsistent with these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 All content on the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, AI-generated reports, research, and software, is the property of Yolo or Bust or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws.
7.2 You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use only.
7.3 You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any content from the Service without our prior written consent.
7.4 AI-generated research reports are produced using third-party AI services and web search. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, we make no warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of AI-generated content.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) share your account credentials with others; (c) redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit any content from the Service; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service; (e) use automated tools to scrape or download content; (f) impersonate any person or entity; (g) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Supabase (data storage and authentication), Resend (email delivery), Google Workspace or Gmail routing tools when used for support or founder inbox delivery, Finnhub (market data), and Anthropic (AI generation). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services. Market data is provided by Finnhub and is for informational purposes only. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of market data.
Google Sheets, downloadable budget templates, and external links are provided for convenience. We do not control Google Drive permissions, spreadsheet behavior after you copy or download a file, or third-party websites linked from the Service.
Optional connected-account providers are not part of the current Service. If a read-only account-linking provider is added later, additional provider terms, consent language, privacy disclosures, suggestion controls, and disconnect controls may apply before you choose to link anything.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOLO OR BUST AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF INVESTMENTS, OR ANY OTHER FINANCIAL LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Yolo or Bust and its Operator from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
